‘Teen Wolf’ and Only Fans Star Tyler Posey Denounces ‘Gay-Baiting’ Accusations and Comes Out as Sexually Fluid

Now sober, Posey is still discovering who he is—even as he's attacked for making that journey public.

After almost a year on Only Fans, Tyler Posey is sober, in a committed relationship, and striking back at the months of seeing his profile labeled “gay baiting.”

In a new interview with NME, Posey—who has recently recorded an EP—recalls one particular troll who took the time to post a comment claiming, “I killed your mother.”

“Like, this person actually claimed they killed my mother,” Posey said. “I’m sober now and I’ve been working a lot on my mental health, so I’m in a place where I can somewhat laugh at that kind of thing,” he says. “But I know that other people who deal with this kind of shit may not be as strong mentally.”

That comment and the general reaction to his presence on Only Fans inspired Posey to tackle cyberbullying. Even gay publications have taken the time to attack him for sharing his life and body online, which may be one reason Posey is finally addressing his sexuality.

Sharing that he is in a relationship with alt rocker Phem, Posey is very clear on the subject.

“I’ve been with everybody under the sun, and right now I’m in the best relationship that I’ve ever been in with a woman, and she’s queer too,” he says. “She’s helped me realize that I fit under the queer umbrella and that I’m sexually fluid, I guess. No, not ‘I guess.’ I don’t want anyone to take this [interview] and be like: ‘Well, he was kind of wishy-washy about it.’”

The topic of gay baiting on platforms like Only Fans is a touchy one for many—particularly when it comes to mainstream performers, many of whom are accused to stealing the spotlight from sex workers. Hopefully Posey’s frankness will end the attacks. After all, shouldn’t we be celebrating anyone who feels comfortable enough in his own skin to post such revealing content for fans who want to support it?
